As a reference plane for inspection work, it is used to detect the dimensional accuracy or form and position deviation of parts, such as machine tool mechanical inspection, measurement reference, etc. 0-2 level flat plates are suitable for high-precision inspection, while 3-level flat plates are mostly used for marking.

Mechanical processing assistance
In mechanical manufacturing, it is used for tight marking, auxiliary assembly or machining positioning. Cast iron plates can also be used as grinding tools after sandblasting treatment. Steel flat plates are commonly used for cold work layout or template trimming.
